Did Google remove the ability to upload 360 photos?

Yes, Google discontinued the ability to upload 360degree photos from the Street View app in 2022. Making it impossible to upload photospheres to any GPS coordinates via their official mobile app. Streetly360 restores this functionality using Google’s official Street View Publish API.

Do I need a Google Business Profile to use this?

No. Unlike the current Google Maps desktop uploader, Streetly360 allows you to publish “Blue Dot” photos to any latitude and longitude, perfect for hiking trails, nature spots, or unlisted locations. You can link the photo to a place or business before publishing it.

Can I use photos taken with my phone?

Yes, as long as they are stitched 360 equirectangular images (2:1 ratio). You can use your phone or dedicated cameras like Insta360, Ricoh Theta, or GoPro Max.

Is this safe for my Google Account?

Completely. We use the official “Sign in with Google” OAuth secure verification. We never see your password; we simply pass your photo to your own Google Maps contribution profile.

Can I create photo yours on Street View

Yes, we just launched in January 2026, the ability to create a tour, add multiple photos and link them together to get a blue line between them and Street View navigation.
